This feature class was created to act as a basis for Great Rivers Greenway and the City of St. Louis to improve their policy and decision making; promote economic development; and enhance the quality of life for residents and businesses. The data is intended to be useful not only as an inventory, but also as a planning tool, to show not only what is, but what may be. The data requires continuous maintence.
This feature class contains the following fields: COMB_NAME, FROM_STREET, TO_STREET, FACILITY_TYPE, STATUS, QUARTER_READY, YEAR_READY, UPGRADE_PLANNED, BIKE_STL, GTWY_BIKE_PLAN, JURISDICTION, MAINTENANCE, and EDIT_DATE.
The GreatRiversGreenway geodatabase contains the following Coded Value Domains used by this feature class: FACILITY_ TYPES (Dedicated Bike Lane, Shared Traffic Lane, or Shared-Use Regional Trail), BIKE_LANE_STATUS (Existing, Proposed, In Construction), QUARTER_READY (Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter), YEAR_READY (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, or 2020), UPGRADE_PLANNED (Yes or No), BIKE_STL_OR_GTWY (Yes or No), JURISDICTION (City or County), and MAINTENANCE (City, County, or State).
Separate Bike Lane records are created when (1) street name changes, (2) facility type changes, (3) municipality changes, or (4) bike lane status changes. Shared-Use Regional Trails consist of one record per trail.
